Over 50,000 Supervisors and Employees have graduated from STS substance abuse training courses since our founding in 2004. Our online Reasonable Suspicion and Drug Free Workplace courses consistently exceed expectations for course content, student engagement and retention. Training program administrators like our comprehensive reporting and flexible course customization options.
The Superior Training Solutions mission is to make online drug and alcohol training easily accessible and affordable for every organization regardless of size, industry or location. We offer both DOT and non-DOT Reasonable Suspicion training and refresher training for supervisors and employees.
In 2014 Superior Training Solutions was purchased by Lifeloc Technologies. Lifeloc is the leading U.S. manufacturer of Evidential Breath Alcohol Testers and Alcohol Screeners for use in Workplace, Law Enforcement, Schools and Corrections testing. For classroom training needs Lifeloc has a network of 25 highly trained and experienced substance abuse consultants throughout the country. We also support drug and alcohol policy development and implementation.
For particular DOT regulated industries our courses are designed to the specific rules and regulations of each DOT mode ( FAA, FTA, FMCSA, PHMSA and USCG). This unique approach ensures students get precisely what they need without distraction or confusion. The end-result is better engagement and retention. Our DOT courses fulfill the DOT 60/60 (2-hour) supervisor training requirement. A Certificate of Completion is available to each student upon completion. See our DOT Courses.
We help make any workplace safer from drug and alcohol use. Our Drug Free Workplace courses equip both general DOT and non-DOT supervisors with everything they need to know to effectively identify, deter and confront suspected drug use in the workplace – any workplace. Often called, "Reasonable Suspicion Training" the course includes the physical, behavioral, speech and performance indicators of likely alcohol misuse and drug use. Prepare your supervisors to determine whether or not reasonable suspicion exists and what to do when they suspect it. See our Drug Free Workplace Courses
The Designated Employer Representative, or DER, is perhaps the most important position within any drug free workplace program as this is the individual who is authorized to receive test results on behalf of the employer and responsible for taking follow-up action steps when necessary. The DER is also responsible for communicating policies to company employees. The new STS DER online training course provides a thorough understanding of a DER’s duties outlined in the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for drug and alcohol testing (49 CFR Part 40). The STS DER Course is also suitable for individuals who manage drug and alcohol testing programs for non-DOT mandated employers. A Certification of Completion is available upon completion of the course and final exam. See our DER Course.
